Creating Pathways to Opportunity with Students & Families in Boulder County

At “I Have A Dream” Foundation of Boulder County, we walk alongside students and families from 1st grade to first job.

Over a 12+ year journey, we create opportunities for academic growth, social-emotional learning and community engagement at every step of the way.

Our Work

A 12-year journey, from 1st grade to first job.

We meet Dreamer Scholars in elementary school — and we stay.

Through middle school, high school, college, and into their first career, we walk alongside students and their families every step of the way.

At every stage, our holistic, 2-Generation model grows with them: academic support, social-emotional development, and family partnership, all the way to postsecondary scholarship assistance.

Our Impact

Our data tells the story of students who showed up, families who persevered, and a community that believed — and the results speak for themselves.

Collaborating to Make Vicky’s dream a reality.

Vicky is "everybody's friend" in our North Boulder program. When her Program Director detected some reading glitches, it set a whole support system in motion.

Across Boulder Valley, our elementary Dreamer Scholars lifted language-arts proficiency across the board.

Reluctant to go to “Dreamers” age 9, Andre came to run the room as a CU grad.

A trusted adult can make all the difference. Andre’s journey was accompanied by mentors who challenged him.

He returned as staff to our Mountain View Class after college, challenging the next generation to succeed.

Mountain View Scholars saw massive growth in math and literacy last year!

Inspiration and Economics go together? They do when you meet Sarahí!

First-gen at CU Boulder with a clear sense of purpose.

Sarahí graduated with Longmont's Aspen class in 2023. Now she's studying economics at CU Boulder, and backing IHDF along the way.

Sarahí is one of hundreds of Dreamer Scholars to make the most of IHDF scholarship funds.

The program data paints a mural of students who show up, families that persevere, and communities that believe.
